(LOCATION: Wickford RI) The Tartan 37 is a classic Sprarkman & Stevens design that enjoyed a long and successful production run. This beauty is Hull #3 and spent her early years sailing the Great Lakes. Purchased by her current owner in 1989 her second home has been Narragansett Bay Rhode Island. Her fin keel with center board allows for coastal cruising with the center board up and blue water sailing with it down. On deck we have a spacious cockpit with sunshade with dodger Edson pedestal helm with Auto Helm 4000 self-steering custom teak seating with cushions and teak table for cocktails or alfresco dining. Sails include: two main sails 135% roller furling jib an almost new 145% roller furling jib a 1-3/4 oz. nylon full spinnaker and a cruising spinnaker with sock. Electronics includes: Garmin 180 GPS with chart plotter Sytex T150 radar Standard Horizon knot meter depth sounder and wind displays and VHF radio with GPS. Ground tackle: 35# Plow anchor 22# Danforth anchor 12 chain and 200 nylon rode. Auxiliary power is provided by a Westerbeke 40-hp diesel engine. The interior features the warmth of teak woodwork. The open salon is spacious with ample storage for any length cruse. A centerline fold-away teak dining table provides an area for relaxation entertainment or dining. An AM/FM/Cassette/CD stereo and 12 TV provide downtime entertainment.
